From Arizona to Australia

Here's a peak at what's on the way to New South Wales for Christine H.

By the way, I'm new around here.  I'm Sarah and I'm excited to be a part of this swap.  I've been sewing for most of my life and quilting for 15 years, but have just become obsessed with EPP in the last few months.  Thanks for letting me join in!

Flowers to Rosalie

I posted blocks to Rosalie today and hope they make a quick trip to Australia.  Kathie L

Here are my flowers from Cindy (USA).
They are so beautiful.

Thanks, Gayle, for your generosity!!

Gayle had my name in November, and she outdid herself in sending me these 4 lovely hexies.  They are lovely, festive, and just right for my garden.  Thank you so much.  I always look up on the map where my hexies have come from.  I see that you live close to Cincinnati.  I've been through there several times and always stop at Skyline Chili to eat some Cincinnati chili.  Then I need some Graeter's ice cream for dessert!!  Lucky you for having that available on a regular basis.

I am so running behind

Thanks to Shannon

There were two hexie flowers and several hexie templates waiting for me in my mailbox when I got back from California Just look at the beautiful colors in the flowers sent to me from my September swap partner in the "Inchy Hexagon Flower Swap. Shannon, they are gorgeous and I thank you.

From UK to Cathy in Canada

I sent my November flowers to Cathy Thorgrimson today - hope they don't take too long to arrive.
Sent my October flowers to Annette Johannsen in Denmark at the end of October but haven't heard if they arrived.  I did send Anette an email but it bounced back.  Don't know if I typed her email address wrongly or if I have to wrong one.  If you read the blog Anette, can you let me know if they arrived OK.

November swap and !!! a giveaway!!

Hi all,

I sent out the November swap lists on the 1st.  If you  think you should have received these and didn't please let me know as soon as possible.

I mentioned in my note with the lists that I would like to see more chatter on our blog.  This doesn't mean that everyone needs to comment on every post, but heck, most of the time there are NO comments.

So I'm doing a giveaway to motivate you all :)

First though, here are my lovely second round hexies, received from Jane for October's swap, and already sewn onto flowers. (Thanks Jane - as I said they are perfect!)

And here is what I have decided to use as stepping stones between my flowers.

I have quickly come to the realization that I am going to have to make a zillion or so of those green hexies.  So I was intrigued when I read this post - from Hydeeann's linky party - http://shushimquilting.blogspot.co.nz/2013/10/wip-wednesday-how-to-glue-baste-epp.html

As you can see this post is about glue basting hexies.... and I'm going to give it a try.  I have ordered not one but two glue sticks and I'm going to be giving one away to one of our Inchy Hexagon Flower Swap members!

What do you have to do to enter this giveaway?  Well any one of our members who posts during November will get their name put in the hat.  And if any of our members comment on someone else's November post during the month of November, that will be another chance to get their name in the hat.  So Ana Maria, Cindy and Dorrit, you already have one chance to win!!

Just to be clear I don't plan on using glue when making hexies for others and I don't think any of us should.  At least not until I take a survey and see how the group feels about it.

So here are the giveaway rules:

1. Be a current member of the Inchy Hexagon Flower Swap
2. Put up a post during November to get one chance to win
3. Comment on a November post to get another (or a whole bunch) of chances to win

This is going to be fun!!

Janet

Flowers in the mail to Diane

Hi Diane
You lucky girl....! Your November flowers are in the mail also!
Have a wonderful Fall!
Ana

Diane Morici--your flowers are in the mail.

Just finished some fun flowers for Diane Morici. She requested repo fabric from the 1930's. I wasn't sure what this was but my local quilt shop was happy to educate me. Now there is an entire section of fabric that I love. Thanks Diane for the eye opener!
