Hexies for Celine

These Hexie flower petals are for Celine Combet.  Celine prefers greys, tone on tone or like stone/marble.  I hope this pic doesn't take away the surprise element for her.  They went postal last Wednesday, and I'm hoping they get to Celine before December is over!

Merry Christmas to All!!!

Oliva's December Hexies

Hi Oliva

Here's a sneak peak of your December hexies which I made over the weekend.

The forecast for Melbourne (Australia) for Saturday was 41 degrees celsius (106 fahrenheit) so I spent the day hand sewing making, among other things, these hexies.  I sat under the air conditioning vent with my two dogs laying on the cool tiled floor beside me.  Sunday's forecast was 37 degrees (99 fahrenheit) so more sewing was done and definitely no housework.  Melbourne's weather is so unique as by 6pm the cool change had come through and it was back to 19 degrees (66 fahrenheit).

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year.

Happy stitching

October Hexies from Maggie

I have been away and these were waiting when I arrived pretty....thanks to Maggie Fellow from USA.

Tuesday, December 8, 2015

Hi everyone,

here are the flowers for Shannon in Idaho, Sara in UK and Irene in Texas.
Sorry Shannon and Sara I`m a little late.

I hope you will like my flowers.

Best Regards,
Grit from Germany .

November & December Flowers.

Upon returning from our travels, I was excited to find two packages containing flowers.

Geraldine, my November swap partner, sent me these lovely flowers. I really like how she combined the different patterns/prints in the second flower. They are both perfect. Thanks so much.
We have a new member from Russia. We sent each other test snail mail to see how long it would take to receive something from each other. In about 2 weeks, I received these flowers. I love the cheerful yellow centers and those pretty prints. Thanks, Debra

And finally, for my December partner, I've completed these flowers which will go in the mail tomorrow.

My partner for December is Debra who is asking for small prints in the petals and black and white stripe, checks, or lines for the center. Since Debra lives in Russia and is having her flowers mailed to her Houston, Texas, USA address, she won't see her flowers until later so I've posted a picture of what I'm sending so she will see them ahead of time. I hope she'll like what I chose for her.
That is all.

Thank You Sara

Tucked away in my mailbox with a dozen Christmas catalogs and sale ads was an envelope from the UK. It had nothing to do with Christmas. It didn't want me to buy anything. It was two sweet hexies and a beautiful card from a friend across the ocean.
Thank you Sara Gulliver for the beautiful flowers--this is happy mail!
Love my stitching friends near and far.

November Hexies for Maggie

My name is Oliva Ohlson and I'm from sunny and warm Arizona!  I say warm because are winters tend to be warm, but summers are HOT...sizzling hot!!!

This is my very first Hexie Swap.
My swap partner for the month of November was Maggie Fellow.  I made these Civil War hexie flowers for her.  I hope that by now she has received them.

Now I'm ready to begin December's petals for my new swap partner.
Merry Christmas!

Iceland Hexies in the making....

To Edda Bjork H.    Here's what I'm making for
you....     My sewing kit is back out in NOT MISSING..... but IN ACTION!!

We had Iceland-like  aka ... ice covered trees here in my section of Oklahoma City last week.....   Beautiful as I look at the glistening ice.... a little saddened at the breaking of tree limbs......  but impressed at God's great grace in allowing the tree to bend, break a little..... but to survive - thrive and provide cover and beauty in the coming seasons of life.... My metaphor!!!

Great sewing and reflections on life....   Be happy my friends.

Isn't She Lovely.....

Stevie Wonder sings this beautiful song... which I listen to often!!

So, to Mizzy  "D" of Buckingham United Kingdom (I think it says)   YES, YES , YES indeed my hexies are lovely.  I even get excited over the postage stamp... like none other I;ve ever seen.   Places I hope to travel to.....

A Big - Belated Thank YOU......  and lots of love to my Inchy Hexagon Friends.!!

December 2015 Lists Emailed

Welcome to December!
This month we're saying farewell to three members. Two are fairly new but are unhappy with missing flowers and lack of correspondence. Please remember to let your partner know if you'll be late with their flowers.
We're also saying farewell to Melody Daly, a long-time member who has to leave us for health reasons.
This month we also welcome Debra Signorotto from Russia. Debra has given us an address in Houston, TX, USA for mailing her flowers as she says it's difficult for her to receive mail in a timely manner where she is located. She also has an address in Australia where her daughter lives so either may be used. Debra sent me a test mailing which included two beautiful flowers and arrived in USA in two weeks so please be patient. Welcome, Debra! We hope you'll enjoy our swap.
Please check your email for the December swap roster and member list. Please let me know if you find any problems.
It's COLD in Texas. I hope you're keeping warm wherever you are.

Oct and Nov Hexagons

Lovely hexies from Kris and extravfabric so I can make another flower
Thank you
Little did you know that I am going to join them with lime a bit like your card.

And my friend Jenny made me some more with fabric she came across while on holidays
So sweet of her

I am loving my new colourway
Have to buy some hot lime to use as spacers so I can start sewing them together

Watch this space!!!
